Welcome

Presentation matters – in virtually everything.  And even more so today when almost all home buyers look at homes on the Internet before deciding which ones they want to see.

That’s why, as a Montreal real estate broker, all of my listings are professionally staged and photographed, at no cost to my clients.  Of course, it helps that I’m also a Canadian Staging Professional™ myself.

It’s also why I make use of the latest in technology, internet access and social networking to have your home seen by as many buyers as possible.

My goal is simple: To work with you to get your house Ready, Set and Sold as quickly, profitably and stress-free as possible so that you can get on to the next stage of your life.

I’m also pretty good at helping people find a place to call home.  No hard sales tactics here – just sound guidance, patience, determination, negotiation and first-hand knowledge of the West Island.  Of course, having a good eye for spotting a diamond-in-the-rough helps too.

So come on in and have a look around.  You’ll see my style and approach as a Montreal real estate broker, why I think professional staging and photography are so important, and how it’s gone for my past clients.

After all that, I hope you’ll find we’re a good fit.  You can call, text or email me.  Or you can look for me on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.  I’m pretty easy to find…and even easier to work with!

The slowdowns we saw in the Montreal West Island real estate market last Fall have continued into the first quarter of 2013, according to the latest MLS statistics. The chart below shows the West Island results for the first quarter of 2013 compared to the first quarter of 2012, using statistics presented by the Quebec…

Montreal Home Staging Before and Afters

Living Room of Condo after Montreal Home Staging

I wanted to share a few home staging before and afters from a Montreal home staging project we did yesterday for a condo in N.D.G. These shots were taken quickly with my iPhone so the quality is not great, but the results are still there. (I always hire a professional photographer when it is my own…

I don’t bite. Or stalk. I promise. – October’s Email

We real estate brokers sometimes have a bad reputation…for incessant marketing, for stalking, for way too much blah, blah, blah. And sometimes we deserve that reputation : ) I really try hard not to abuse the time and attention of the people I know, both personally and professionally. I hope I’m successful at that.  If…

How’s the Montreal real estate market?

As a Montreal real estate broker, I’m often asked, “How’s the Montreal real estate market doing, Tanya?” If I was bluffing or had my head in the sand, I’d say, “Great!”  But I don’t bluff and the sand gets in my eyes. If I was a pessimist, I’d say, “Terrible.” But my glass is always…

3 things I thought I knew about selling Montreal Real Estate – before I actually started selling Montreal Real Estate

Fido strikes again!

I’m feeling confessional…again.  So here are 3 things I thought I knew about selling real estate, before I actually started selling real estate. #1 – Before “There’s no excuse for a house not looking great in MLS pictures.  And seriously?  You couldn’t get the cat out of the bedroom long enough to take a picture?”…

Got clutter in your Montreal home? Might be time to move.

Before Decluttering

Have you got clutter?  A linen closet that takes a full-on tackle to close?  A cabinet under the kitchen sink that looks like a product testing lab for household cleaning products?  Bin upon bin in the basement that may or may not contain your grade 7 report card? Well then, it might be time to…

Did you consider location before your Montreal property flip flopped?

Did you consider location before your flip flopped?  I didn’t think so. When you first saw the house on MLS, it was probably too good to be true.  Or rather, it was so bad it was good.  But here’s the thing: Even when you flip houses, the 3 most important things in real estate are still location, location,…

I just wanted to thank you again for putting the WOW into our home. Not only were the paint colours for the entire house bang on, you transformed a large but awkward shaped room into a warm, cozy sitting area – kid-proofed and all!

Thanks for a smashing job. Everyone who walked in wanted to stay and so we had 5 offers within a week. A lot of houses are for sale around here and you made ours stand out. And you did it while respecting its own kind of charm. If it wasn’t for your talent and your...

I had the pleasure of using Tanya's professional services last year when I decided to list my home for sale. In a short period of time, she transformed my home into a peaceful beachside haven! I didn't want to move, my home was listed and in one week I had received…

When we were selling, you took our condo and transformed it in to an extremely desirable place for anyone to live and enjoy. Your talent to “make everything work” on our budget was inspiring to say the least. We sold our condo before any of the other 4 in our neighbourhood…

Working with you was a real pleasure.... We really appreciate all the commitment, creativity and professionalism you brought to the task and the way you fought for our interests throughout. We always felt you understood where we were coming from and that you "got"…
