Bear with me for a little story please…
When I started my home staging career, I bought myself a fancy-schmantzey camera, with a wide angle lens and everything. I also took a photography course. My goal was to get really good at taking pictures of the homes I was staging so I could include the photos in my portfolio. You can see some of those early photos here.
Then I started selling real estate.
I quickly realized that the pictures I took of my listings were absolutely critical. With the vast majority of home buyers looking on the Internet to identify the homes they want to see, I knew that if the pictures I took weren’t stellar, I’d be taking risks risk with my sellers’ homes; and that was not something I was comfortable with.
So now I hire a professional photographer to take great photos of all of my listings, after I’ve staged them – and all at no cost to my selling clients.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Here’s a before photo taken with my fancy-schmantzey camera, and an “after” photo taken by a professional photographer.

See any difference? I do…and so will potential buyers.
